Let’s face it, your personal and/or company brand is what makes others remember you and what you do. There are a million facets of personal and company branding; this article will not even attempt to cover them all. In fact, this article will only focus on one; the business card. Not just any business card, but the “Digital Business Card!”
One of the absolute best things a professional requires is a brand that can be memorable. Your name and company brand needs to reflect exactly why people should be drawn to it, or can remember it without any sort of difficulty. The use of technology will not only set you apart, especially with a digital business card.
Imagine this: you are at a networking event making new connections. After shaking hands, you ask your connection to text your name to a short code, and they instantly receive a return text from you with your contact information, your web address or blog, your mobile landing page, your photo and more. WOW! Now that is a way to be remembered.
Your new connection has a positive image of you in his mind, your information at his fingertips, and you have just captured one of the most important pieces of information of any individual; their mobile phone number.
You have gone green by eliminating the paper business card, utilized technology in its most current form, and made an impact on the new connection. Everyone these days has a mobile phone, and statistics prove that 97% of all text messages are received and read within the first few minutes.
With the use of a digital business card, you automatically can text your proposition, your ad or your offer to every phone contact at your disposal. Mobile marketing has a plethora of uses, and is limited only by one’s imagination.
Additionally, mobile marketing is the fastest growing accepted technology in the history of technology, even faster than the introduction of the personal computer and the internet. Although still in its infancy, it has outpaced all other forms of marketing acceptance ever. As companies of all sizes switch from traditional advertising and marketing to mobile device marketing, only approximately 2% of all firms globally have made it part of their marketing mix. From the mom and pop store to the Fortune 50, mobile marketing is changing the way business does business.
As recently as this past week, Ford Motor Company made it known to the world that mobile marketing will become the center of their marketing platform. Shouldn’t every business find a way to implement a mobile marketing strategy into the mix?
